Citroen Kas

Niels Wouters and Sander Louwerens wanted to grow there own vegetables in there temporary restaurant Citroën in the former Citroën garage in Amsterdam designed by architect Jan Wils. Maaike Franssen and me teamed up to design and build an transistory greenhouse. We used lowcost materials to create the right conditions for the plants to grow and a pleasing atmosphere to attract visitors to explore the building. We based our construction on the grids and dimensions of the building, but applied it in a more playful way.
